Returns Policy for Online Orders

We hope you loved your order, but if something wasn’t quite right rest assured you can return it to us subject to the following conditions:

  • the item must be returned within 10 days of receiving your order. We recommend all items are tried on as soon as they are received to ensure you are able to return items within this timeframe
  • items must be returned in original condition, unworn, unaltered, unwashed and with their tags attached

You are able to return for your choice of store credit or refund as per the parameters below:

We offer free domestic return shipping within 10 days of receiving your order if you are returning any FULL PRICED items for a STORE CREDIT ONLY - any orders placed using any type of discount code (including store credit codes) do not qualify as a free return.

Only one FREE RETURN is offered per FULL PRICED order.

When using your store credit FREE SHIPPING is only available if you spend an additional $150 above the store credit value - if your store credit value is enough to cover shipping costs then please email us and we can process manually as our checkout system does not recognise store credits towards shipping.

To return an item for store credit, please visit our Returns Portal and follow the prompts being sure to select store credit as your return option.

We offer refunds on full priced items only.

Items purchased during any promotions qualify for STORE CREDIT only. This includes FREE SHIPPING promotions.

You will be required to cover the return postage costs.

No refunds on orders paid with a store credit.

To return an item for refund, please visit our Returns Portal and follow the prompts being sure to select refund as your return option.

Returns are subject to the following conditions:

Swimwear & Intimates

  • customers must try on items wearing undergarments
  • if you wish to return an item, the tags and protective hygiene strip must remain in place, the item will not be accepted if either of these have been removed, altered or if the item shows sign of wear

Jewellery & Beauty Products
Due to hygiene and health and safety reasons, we do not accept change of mind return requests for jewellery, beauty or skincare items.

Books, Picnic Folk & Decorations
We do not accept returns for book, Picnic Folk or decoration products

Gift Cards
Gift Cards are valid for three (3) years from the date of issue and are not redeemable for cash. All gift card purchased on our Australian website can be redeemed on our Australian website or at our Springwood store.

Sale items which have been reduced in price cannot be refunded, unless in the event of the item being faulty.

Sale items are only eligible for return via store credit within 10 days of purchase.

You will be required to cover the return postage costs.

Final Clearance Sale Stock is not eligible for return - any final sale items received by us will be shipped back to you at your expense.

If your package is returned to us due to an error you have entered in the address field we will need to charge a re-delivery fee of $20 for domestic orders or $25 for international orders to resend your order to you. This is to cover the cost of charges we incur from e-parcel on return to sender items.

*PLEASE NOTE - No refunds will be issued on return to sender items. If you choose to cancel your order after it has been returned to sender then a store credit will be issued minus the original postage costs.

All Returns must be processed via our Returns Portal with the exception of International orders.
Please note, should we identify unreasonable patterns of returns we may restrict or refuse future returns.

Phone Orders

All orders placed and paid for over the phone are only eligible for a return for store credit with return postage at your expense (no free returns) as per our in-store customer policy. If you would like the flexibility of free returns and the option of refunds we strongly suggest placing your order online.

Our portal provides a prepaid return postage label for Australian returns only. To return an International order, please contact us.

Please note, returns from different orders need to be returned separately.

We do not offer Exchanges

Unfortunately we do not hold items for exchange. If you would like to secure your correct size/style we recommend you re-purchase the item as we only carry limited stock. You can return your original item following our options in the Returns Portal.

For Australian orders, you can choose to return for store credit and receive free return post, or if you would prefer to return for a refund, we retain $9.95 from your refund to cover the return costs. This option ensures your package is trackable. Please keep a record of your return tracking number so you can follow the progress of your return. We recommend you use registered post for all returns, as we cannot be held responsible for items should they be lost in transit

For International returns, you will be responsible for shipping and handling charges to return any unwanted items. If the package does not reach us safely we will not be able to complete the refund. We recommend sending via a traceable method for peace of mind and to retain proof of postage until you have received confirmation that your return has been processed.

In case of a parcel being rejected at customs due to change of mind, we reserve the right to withhold duties and taxes incurred from your refund once it has been returned to us. Please note, these are treated as return to sender parcels which are considered low priority by the courier and can take up to three (3) months to arrive back at our warehouse.

Please note: Subject to our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law or similar legislation, international returns cannot be accepted where the value of the items being returned in one shipment is over $1000. Please ship the items separately as we are not responsible to pay duties to receive the goods. If there is a charge it may be deducted from your final refund.

If you are a local customer, or driving through the Blue Mountains, please feel free to drop it in to us in person. The same returns parameters apply.

We recommend you use registered post for all returns. We do not hold responsibility for items that go missing through the post. Should your return be lost by Australia Post you are obliged to lodge a complaint with them.

Your items will undergo a quality review on receipt. Once your return has been accepted you will receive a refund or credit note for the purchase price (excluding original shipping cost and return handling costs) directly to the original method of payment used for purchase. If you paid with a gift card, you will be refunded to that same gift card and will be able to re-use the original unique code towards your next purchase. The status of your return will be emailed to you once processed.

Please note that as we're a small team returns are processed once a week, so please allow up to 7 days for your return to be processed.

All postage costs for refunded items are the responsibility of the customer.

We take great care in packaging your goods safely. In the unfortunate event that your items are damaged in transit through Australia Post, we cannot accept responsibility. All complaints are to be forwarded directly to Australia Post.

If you believe your item is faulty, please contact us at info@bellaboheme.com.au within 3 days of receiving your garment to organise return/replacement.

If you wish to return your items, please email us and we will advise how to submit your return.

Points to Note

Every effort is made to portray items accurately. Please be advised all computer screen colour settings vary and can affect the way products appear on the viewing monitor. We can not be held responsible for any colour discrepancies. We will make every effort possible to display our products as clearly and accurately as possible.

Many of our treasures are made using stunning vintage textiles and embellishments; in particular our one of a kind bags, vintage kantha jackets and antique embellished fabrics. They are pieces of history and visible imperfections are to be considered part of their beauty and charm, rather than faults. These items will not be considered faulty if returned.
