Summer Dream Throw

The Story Behind The Art

This print weaves together a handful of Brigitte May’s acrylic-rendered women, who all share a love of the sea and the earth’s flowers. In their midst is her dream seaside shack—the kind of nest that she yearns to find for her own family one day. These women tell a story of golden years spent amongst shells, stars, and palms; they epitomise the Summer Dream.

  About The Artist

 Brigitte lives with her family in Sawtell, on the east coast of Australia. She has worked as a freelance artist since completing her Bachelor of Design in 2013.

Beginning with watercolour and, more recently, branching into acrylics, her work is constantly evolving as she collaborates with clients across a broad range of industries.

Through her colour palette and concepts, she fuses the earthy with the pretty to create art that transforms homes, branding collateral, and product designs.

Care Instructions 

Made from recycled cotton so hand wash or cold gentle machine wash only. Do not Tumble Dry. Woven rugs have threads that can pull. Be careful with jewellery etc when folding your rug, so the threads don't catch or pull.

Size - Made to 2.2 x 1.6m - but these gorgeous throws are woven so after manufacturing they do come out slightly smaller than 2.2 x 1.6. They are large enough to go over up to a king size bed
